Borrow a Toy and Have Some Fun

Thanks to a $400 matching grant from Glen Arbor Women’s Club we are able to provide a Beach Toy Lending Library for Glen Haven beach visitors! Volunteer Roland Volk used materials we removed from the Inn to build a bottomless box that fits into a garden cart. Jeff shingled the roof with extra shingles we found in the roof of the Garage and painted it buttercream to match the Inn. If you have any unused beach toys you would like to donate to the cart, please drop them off at the Inn. Next week we will roll the cart out to our northern lawn along with a sign that states, “Borrow a toy and have some fun. Please return when you are done.”

The grant also provided funding for a Little Free Library which we will be building later this fall. Thank you Glen Arbor Women’s Club for your partnership in the community.
