Reclaimed and Repurposed

One of our regular volunteers, Steve Forsell repurposed a few interior 2x4s into this beautiful bench we will be able to use for furniture in the Inn. I can picture folks resting here to put on snow boots before setting out on a winter trek, or perhaps resting while waiting for a table on the sunporch to eat lunch. Thank you Steve for this truly one of a kind piece, it is a treasure!

This week we also met Jeff M and his wife who were referred to us by Molly, another regular volunteer. Jeff admits to a love/hate relationship with historic window rehab and Jeff could not have entered into the scene at a better time as we are tackling the preservation of our 34 porch windows and five 1866 interior windows. Thank you again to all our volunteers, whether you give 3 hours or 300, you are valued and so very appreciated by our BEAR team.
